The school closures caused by the coronavirus had an unprecedented impact on students around the world. Many DP art students were unable to hold their exhibitions and get feedback from friends, family, and other members of the community. Sadly, this was true at ABIS as well. In order to meet the IB requirements for this year, I set up Sara’s and Shamma’s artworks in a very temporary display and took photos to capture their full collections.

Even without being able to follow the students’ original exhibition plans, it is still clear that their works are strong, both technically and conceptually. Congratulations to both Shamma and Sara on two years of rigorous work! Those of you who know them are welcomed to send an email or other positive message to help celebrate their success and upcoming graduation.
