January 27, 2020 marked the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz Concentration Camp in Poland. That day was chosen as a day of remembrance for all of the victims of the Holocaust. Students in grade 9 have been learning about this genocide in MYP Individuals and Societies, Language Acquisition, and Literature classes. The unit culminated in the creation of a display where students wrote for the victims and created suitcases for them much like the ones that they had packed their belongings in upon deportation. Below are pictures of the wonderful work done by our grade 9 class to honor such a difficult history.
