Welcome back to everyone at ABIS after what I hope was a restful winter break for you all. It is with deepest condolences that I observe the passing of our late Sultan Qaboos. As a visitor from another country, I am amazed that one leader could contribute so much toward the development of Oman and be so cherished by the people, and it was beautiful to read the tributes that came in from other nations during this difficult time.
Students, please note that next Thursday, January 23 is your deadline to submit any outstanding work that you want to appear on your Semester One report.
A reminder that G10 Art & Design students do not have mock exams, as the mocks from the spring of 2019 will suffice. However, please remember that both IGCSE and DP submission deadlines will be here before you know it. Let’s all continue to work hard toward our goals this spring.
A big shout-out to Michael Ridgway for donating three art canvases to the art department that he did not need!
Finally, for those of you looking for an SA project, don’t forget that there is always work to do in the art space, from cleaning to organizing to sharpening pencils, and possibly a job for someone who would like to help prep artworks for display.
