For our unit of inquiry Stories we have been exploring pirates. Last week Ms Celines class decided to make treasure maps. This week they decided to extend their learning by making a pirate game by hiding treasure in the school and finding it using a map and a compass. The students had to communicate and cooperate with each other to find the treasure. After the game the students had organized a pirate party. They made lists of the food they had to bring and designed their outfits. They made pirate hats and came dressed 
as very scary pirates. The students had a wonderful experience and will be making their own story books about their adventures as pirates.
