Last week we started a new unit of inquiry “Stories.” We dressed up as pirates and as a group we asked and answered questions about pirates. We asked the children where they got so much information about pirates. We are now creating our own stories about pirates and enjoying some adventures pirates go on like making treasure maps and finding buried treasure. The K1 students made pirate puppets and ships for them to sail to a treasure island.
