Grade 6 are an active group who have been asking searching questions to push their learning in different directions. This term we have practised lots of conversations in French. The students were curious to learn and add many new words to their learning to talk about sports, animals, languages and food and to use numbers to exchange personal info. We are currently looking more closely at the skills we need to write well in French. We will also develop vocabulary-learning strategies so we can remember the words we want to use. We will be linking the beautiful French sounds we have used to their forms in writing to develop our understanding. Many students already use more than one language and help us make interesting links between the languages we share in our school community.
