Grade 7 and 8 English are currently studying Macbeth in all its gruesome glory. This week we considered the nature of Evil and Macbeth’s ruthlessness in having one of his oldest friends murdered in the hope of hanging on to his crown. Not long after this, the now deceased friend makes a surprise appearance at the royal feast being held to celebrate Macbeth’s promotion to King. Let’s just say that the nefarious noble doesn’t handle this very well and the party comes to an abrupt end as he screams and shouts at a ghost no one else can see.

The class considered these events from the perspective of Macbeth, his Queen, the Nobles and a humble palace servant and gave feedback on how they would feel at the end of the evening.
