This Tuesday, Grade 6 students finished watching the 2016 film Before the Flood, where Leonardo DiCaprio travels the globe to see the effects of climate change firsthand. Students shared their feelings, their wonderings, and their hopes, and identified some new vocabulary that we will need to examine in order to understand the issue.
At the end of the lesson, students were left to consider what role art and artists might play in the fight to save our planet and way of life.
