This week some of the students asked if they could make some cookies and we said, “why not!” The students split up into small groups and were presented with a recipe. We discussed what we were making and how we would make it. We measured the ingredients together following the instructions. We tasted and smelt some of the ingredients to see if they would be good in our mixture. We identified the different colours of the ingredients and observed the change in the dough as it was being mixed together. The K1 students rolled the out the cookie mix and cut different shaped biscuits. The K2 students divided up their own mixture and created their own cookies. The students were able to identify that they had used Science, Maths and Art in the baking of our cookies.
