This week we introduced patterns to the K1 students. We demonstrated what a simple pattern looked like and asked them if they could create their own and name it. They could use paint and different shapes to Print patterns which they enjoyed. Some of them were able to transfer their learning onto the mat where they could create their own patterns using maths manipulatives. On Thursday the students re enforced their learning by making fruit kebab patterns. They spent much time choosing their fruit and making their kebabs. Some of the children could name them and all of them were able to record their creations. Maths is fun in the ECC.
