Thank you to all of the parents who are supporting their children during Ramadan and with pick up times. Things are going well surrounding this.

Although it is Ramadan school continues as normal.

This week I have had many students come to find me to share in their learning. Some grade 3 students have requested to take action to raise money for charity by creating their own perfumes and students from grade 1 have been sharing their learning around math. It’s always a pleasure to see the joy and enthusiasm our students have for learning and with the weekly assemblies we miss seeing some of that.

The next assembly will be on May 30th and this will be the Grade 6 graduation ceremony that will take place in Mazoon. This will begin at 12.20. Everyone is welcome to join for this exciting event where we farewell the students leaving the Primary Years Programme and they are welcomed into the Secondary.

You will see that we are holding our traditional Community Iftaar next Wednesday in Mazoon. Please join us in this celebration where we learn more about Ramadan and then share in a meal together.

Although we are approaching the end of the academic year (I have no idea where the time has gone!) please know that we continue to work hard, as normal, and it is important that students return to school after Eid for the final two weeks. The Eid dates are tentative but we will let you know as soon as they are finalized.

June 3rd will see our final Mother Tongue Monday held. If you have any books you no longer require please bring them along on this day to donate to our Languages section in the library. The mums and dads who have participated in this are then asked to join a “Thank You” coffee and cake session in LC3.

End of Year reports are to be issued on June 17th. If you are leaving Sohar and Oman we can forward these as soon as they are done. Unfortunately due to the system we cannot issue reports before this time.

The last day of school is Thursday, June 20th.
