Grade 7 students were excited to share their knowledge of ancient civilizations with the Grade 4 & 5 classes, as well as several visiting parents this week. Pleasant piano music played in the background of the Mazoon that was temporarily converted into a thoughtfully put together “Museum of Ancient Civilizations. The museum exhibits featured student created artifacts, videos, and written information about topics like the earliest written languages (Cuneiform & Hieroglyphics), early art & culture, daily life, armor & weapons, architecture, and more. The G7s did careful research of an ancient civilization of their choosing, including: Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Rome, China, the Mayan’s, Inca’s, and the Aztecs.

It is wonderful to seethe grade 7 students explaining to parents and students what they learned about this fascinating time period in our history. We are very proud of the good work the G7s are doing in their Individuals & Societies class!
