K3 students are becoming experts at composting organic waste. We have been learning why it matters to compost and how to do it during STEAM, as well as writing about it in a How-To Book to launch our procedural writing unit. To help our K3 writers think about all of the important steps needed, each student made a compost pile model using play dough. It was lots fun!
