This week for Art we wanted to explore self portraits. This would encourage the students to look at their own facial features and name them. We then explored the position of our features using words such as on top, at the side and above and below. The students then observed the teacher making a portrait of our head of primary Ms Simpson. I may add that Ms Lauma did an exceptional job and the likeness is incredible. The students fine motor skills have made wonderful progress and this is demonstrated through the quality of work produced.
