Due to the important role that the private schools play in delivering the educational mission and achieving the goals intended, the Ministry of Education has decided to introduce a school ratings system. The system seems to be quite similar to the one that has been in operation in the UAE for some time now.
As you know, ABIS is one of just a few schools in Oman who have successfully completed the Council of International Schools (CIS) Accreditation process and therefore we has deep understanding of processes of this type. As such, back in October we decided to volunteer to be part of this process.
On the 10th of February the MOE will start the pilot assessment which involve ABIS and 30 other schools around Oman. ABIS is excited to be part of this pilot and the school is currently preparing the self- study report which will be submitted to MOE by the first week of February.
The rating team visit to ABIS will be in the period 3 – 7 of March 2019 and we look forward to welcoming them to our school.
