After completing our unit of inquiry about our senses and starting a new unit about Art, we decided to do some ice painting. The students were able to reflect on their feeling of touch and the language used to express themselves. They were then able to creat some wonderful paintings and prints and watch the paint mix as it melted.
In STEAM, the students had to free animals that were trapped in ice using plastic syringes and water, hammers and other simple tools. They spent much time planning and collaborating in order to work together as a team to release them.
