G12 TOK students got to know two of their teachers, Mr. Lopez & Mr. Mwita in new and different ways in TOK this week. They got to see how passionate and knowledgable they both are about science! The G12s formulated “Knowledge Questions” that sparked surprisingly insightful, and at times opinionated, views on topics like: the clash between religious knowledge systems and the natural sciences; the methodology of science; the role of faith and intuition in the sciences; and more. TOK provides us the opportunity to step out of the subject areas and look at them from above to see how do we actually form knowledge from them.
