What a great time we had at the grand mosque in Sohar and at the Omani restaurant. Thank you so much to Ms. Zuweina for coordinating the tour of the mosque and restaurant menu.

If you have not visited the mosque, it is worth seeing. Spectacularly beautiful. A gift from Sultan Kaboos to the citizens of Sohar. Visitors are welcome before 11 am. All visitors must wear long pants and long sleeves. Females must cover their hair.
After our tour of the mosque we were hungry!
We were seated in the traditional Omani style, on the floor. Majboos, camel meat, shrimp, sardines, grilled chicken and spiced rice dishes were enjoyed by all. We got a lesson on eating with our hands.
No one went away hungry!
The students and adults in attendance all had a great time. I will send the restaurant details via email, as many students are keen to visit and take their family out for dinner there!
