We are in our second week of our new Unit of Inquiry. We are discovering how complex technology is! Students have developed their own lines of inquiry involving a technology “category”: medical, weather, space, satellite, robotic, communication, agricultural just to name a few. They have been working with a research partner and checking in and sharing their research with them each day.

On Wednesday we completed a “super fun quiz” based on our reading about technology’s impact on society. We used reciprocal teaching to help summarize and build our understanding. Hopefully your child can explain reciprocal teaching to you.

We also managed to fit in a couple of ping pong tournaments. Students chose to be in the competitive or non-competitive group. We are doing our best to balance work and fun as the school year winds down.

Thank you to the parents who have added photos to their child’s folder. Please email me if you have any questions about the photos for the Grade 6 Assembly.
