Grade 8 students have been reading The Outsiders for English class, and are investigating into stereotypes and how it leads to prejudice and discrimination. They have read case studies from real life of stereotypes and prejudice, along with theories about how they arise and are passed on. Now we are applying those observations to the characters in the book.
