On April 11th, ABIS welcomed over 200 guests from around the country to celebrate the completion of the expansion of the school campus . We were honored by the presence of H.E. Shaikh Mohammed Bin Marhoon Al Mamari State Counselor.

This event is not just to celebrate the school facility but it also showcased the many qualities of our students.

Graduating student Ziad confidently emceed the ceremony, leading the audience in making the butterfly origami, which symbolizes how our teachers prepare students with the knowledge, conceptual understandings and skills that they need to be able to fly independently on their own.

The musical performances – the Omani national anthem, the choral rendition of “Like a Bridge over Troubled Water,” and the third and fourth grades’ xylophone playing of “The Flight of the Condor” attest not only to the school’s commitment to the performing arts but also to the level students are able to reach with motivation and hard work.

Finally, we have our student tour guides who proudly showed the school to the guests, communicating fluently in English and Arabic.

ABIS has accomplished a lot in such a short time, and we look forward in continuing to challenge and inspire students entrusted in our care.
