For the last few weeks we have had a Biochemistry overdose around here. Grade 12 Chemistry students finished with the Biochemistry option and grade 11 Biology students are currently covering DNA structure and heading to new complex units in DNA replication, transcription and translation. Grade 11 Chemistry students finished with the chapter about bonding (a Chemistry essential) and grade 12 Biology students finished with the option on Further Human Physiology. Next week will be shorter and full of tests to wrap up an intense trimester.
We also received the visit of some grade 3 students interested on learning about how we can see germs in Biology and who were pretty excited to use our department microscopes.
With the STEAM class we had an intense egg drop challenge where students tested their own designs.
