We had a very energetic start to the 2017/2018 school year in our Advisory program! Our first day was filled with reminders about our Essential Agreements and the Dress Code, the distribution of supplies, and our annual Secondary ABIS Olympics. Monday and Wednesday were more introductory sessions, then today – our long Advisory session – was something special. After signing up for the bi-weekly games, the Secondary and 6th grade students were let loose in the building to answer 12 questions that had been posted all around the windows and whiteboards. Focusing on the theme “Gearing up for the year,” the questions addressed everything from students’ favorite item in their pencil cases to the most-anticipated ASA. It was great to see their answers and know that we were officially settled into our new school year.
