Today Grade 2 hiked up 2 rocky hills in Willi to see the remains of some very old beehive tombs.  We were surprised at how big they were when we got near them.  It must have taken some people quite a while to build each one from so many heavy stones.  We found many different and interesting sorts of rocks.  Some of us had a go at building a tomb of our own.

From the top of the hill we had a good view of a farm down below and the surrounding area. A herd of goats passed by but thankfully didn’t try to eat our lunches. A small scorpion made an appearance too.

Then we headed to Umq beach for lunch and a play in the park and playground.  There was plenty to do and it was a great finish to another wonderful day.
