Grade 9 English have been reading the IGCSE text Spies for the past few weeks. This week they arrived at a key chapter where many tense moments and character decisions happened.
To help students really dive into the scenes, and to identify these key moments, they are creating tableaux, which are frozen moments from the book brought to life and narrated. They have taken the job quite seriously, and there has been some great close reading happening as they develop their scenes. They perform them on Sunday and it will be fascinating to compare the performances and scene choices!
