This week the grade 12 IB students have been finishing the practical component of their internal assessment, so we have been extremely busy in the lab. Investigations ranging from water quality to using henna as an indicator, oscillating reactions producing intermittent pulses of light to voltaic cells,  ascorbic acid degradation to oxidation process in apple fruit. All extremely interesting.

Grade 11 students have been studying periodicity and nuclei acids, and also investigating the rate of enzyme action using a redox titration.

Grade 9 students studied density and learnt how to use that concept to identify pure substances.

Intense times around here this first semester.
