if you see any fifth through eighth graders singing to themselves and using some kind of sign language, don’t be alarmed! All choir members will take a singing test this coming week: using hand signs and solfege, 5th and 6th grade choir members will sing a major scale and the intervals between do and the rest of the scale; 7th and 8th graders will sing a major and natural minor scale, along with the intervals for each scale. Ask your choir member what the intervals between Do and Sol is, and see what they tell you!
