New blinds in the lab means that now we can do practicals involving light rays more effectively, so we studied refraction and reflection of light in quite spooky dark conditions. It meant as well that the mesocosm was accidentally left in the dark for 48 hours, neglecting photosynthesis and putting pressure on the ecosystem. It made it until Sunday anyway and we observed some casualties in the plant population (grass), but everything else seemed to be all right and has effectively recovered during the week.
We studied also digestive system, equilibrium, plant transport, respiration and electricity.
Well done
