Well that was a day. The sailing course went well, the kids worked really hard and the instructors were pleased with their progress.
Afterwards we participated in a beach cleanup off the grounds of the Millennium organized by the grade 8s. At least 20 massive bags of trash later we were hot, sweaty and a little ripe.
Thankfully, Maurice, the general manager of the Millennium so appreciated our clean up effort that he generously granted us access to the pool, and sweetened the deal by throwing in dinner.
The kids are playing in the pool now, and afterwards they’ll sit down to some pizzas and sliders. Not bad for roughing it.
After dinner it’ll be time for a shower, and then either a fire, or what is more likely, an early bedtime.
We start up the course again at 9:00 tomorrow. Solo sails and capsize training are on the agenda…
