REUSING
We have been busy collecting items to be REUSED for art and other projects at ABIS. A collection depot has been created in the MPA for you to bring your reusable items. We are only collecting specific items at this time so please take a look at what we are collecting and start saving your items at home. We ask that you help us by sorting your items and placing them in the correct boxes. Also if you need any of the items for personal use, please help yourself!
Reminder that we are collecting CLEAR PLASTIC BOTTLES in all sizes to build a greenhouse. We currently have 593 bottles and we need about 500 more, please help us by saving your plastic bottles at home and bringing them in. We would like the bottles to be clean, empty, and with the lids on. We will accept plastic bottles on any day, however the best day to bring bottles in is on Mondays because that’s when the Eco Club is able to count them. Thank you!
RECYCLING
What can you recycle at ABIS?
We currently recycle PAPER, ALUMINUM CANS, and BATTERIES.
The PAPER RECYCLING BIN is located in the parking lot, it’s the big yellow bin! We encourage you to bring your paper and carton from home and place it in the yellow recycle bin in the parking lot. If you don’t like having to bring in your paper recycling to school, contact Muscat Daily (80076000) to get a paper recycling bin in your apartment complex!
Next to the paper bin in the parking lot is the ALUMINUM CANS RECYCLING BIN. We encourage you to bring in your crushed aluminum cans from home and place them in the aluminum recycle bin in the parking lot.
Located on the right hand side of the front doors is our BATTERY RECYCLING BIN. Please recycle all of your batteries here!
So far that’s all that we are currently recycling at ABIS. We would love to also be able to recycle glass and plastic! If anybody knows of a place where we can recycle glass or plastic, please let us know!
