This week in mathematics students in grade 7 have been looking at basic number skills. Today we looked at similarities between multiplying and dividing by differing powers of 10, including the decimals 0.1 and 0.01. Common ground was found, for example dividing by 0.01 gives exactly the same answer as multiplying by 100… This work will continue next week with more work on decimal multiplication and division.
