The Gr. 7 class finished reading the novel Nothing But The Truth by Avi over the holiday and returned to a lesson on irony as the surprise ending was truly ironic. We used Youtube clips of Alanis Morissette’s song “Ironic” (which should be called Bad Luck) and a parody called “It’s Finally Ironic” to discuss good and bad examples of situational irony.
