It is the start of a new academic year which is always an exciting time in school. My name is Ms Marie, this will be my third year at ABIS and my twentieth year teaching in the GCC! I will be the class teacher for K2 students this year, working with Ms Manal to provide a happy environment for your young children. We are excited to meet new students and welcome back the previous K1 children at the start of the year.
Parents are the first and most important educators of their children and we look forward to meeting you and developing a relationship which will help provide the best experience for your child.
The school day begins at 8:15. Children will have time for free play, directed play and be provided with a range of experiences to make discoveries and learn. Àq
You will need to provide your child with a snack to be eaten around 10am in a named box and an additional separate lunch box if your child is staying until 12:55. Your child can be collected at 12:15 from the classroom if they are not eating lunch in school.
Please ensure the food is healthy and easy for your child to manage. Please send drinks cartons with juice etc, glass bottles and fizzy are not allowed. A refillable water bottle should be provided we will encourage them to drink regularly to keep hydrated and assist the children to top up their water bottles.
It would be helpful if you could send a full change clothes in a bag to stay in your child’s cubby in the classroom. Please label the clothes and bag with your child’s name. This will allow us to change your child discretely should a toileting or painting accident occur.
