We would like to invite the Grades 3 and 6 parent community to view the collaborative films that were created for their unit on migration. The students did a great job in researching an historical migration pattern and creating a story that depicted a family or individual migrating, along with their trials, hardships and motivations.
The students used iMovie as the platform to film, edit and show their film. They learned to piece together and crop multiple video clips, record and insert sound effects, overlay music, and insert text and photos. They learned to do this in only a handful of sessions. It was incredible to see the potential of the iPad unfold and the kids utilize it so quickly.
The film screening will be at 8:30am on Wed. in the Grade 3 classroom. Please come and celebrate their efforts as it truly was an incredible process to observe.
