K3 are learning to solve subtraction problems. They have discussed ways to solve different kinds of problem – change unknown and result unknown. Students used materials such as tens frames and counters.

Andee and Anton from Grade 11 planned some fun activities. K3 listened to the story of ‘Sinbad the Sailor’ and designed their own mythical monster. They learnt some facts about Oman and created a song about the wonderful country we live in.

Using just rice noodles, condensed milk and chocolate, K3 made some yummy Omani sweets. They were delicious!

Ms Fatma told us about the old and modern Omani artefacts. Then we played on the play equipment. After snack we played frisbee, catch, took part in skipping and blew bubbles! Everyone had a great time.

K3 made kumas and burqas, spoon puppets and bracelets. We also decorated our names written in Arabic and painted clay pots in the Omani flag colours! Thank you to all of our helpers – we couldn’t have done it without you!
