In Gr. 8 we have been reading Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and comparing our rendition of each scene to Franco Zeffirelli’s 1968 movie and Baz Luhrmann’s 1996 modern adaptation. While Zeffireli’s version is respectful of the Elizabethan setting, Luhrmann sets the story in 20th century America.
