Dear G5 parents,
A belated Eid Mubarak!
Trust everyone had a chance to enjoy the holidays. Our family was busy as we welcomed Genevieve Miyu George into the world on the 24th of October.
G5s have transitioned nicely back into their school routines and we embarking on a very busy time from now until the winter break.
In all subjects we are starting new focuses:
Math(s): Order of operations and algebra
UOI: ‘It’s a Small World’ with the central idea being- ‘Globalization increases the interconnectedness of people, economies and nations.’
Writing: Informational writing
Reading: Informational reading
Word study: Parts of speech (nouns, verbs, adjectives etc.) and spelling words
Have a look at the attached pictures. The students celebrating the publishing of their ‘This is me’ narratives and their continued work on massifying (not a word!) fruits and veggies.
