As we progress through the academic term, it is a pleasure to look back on all we have accomplished together across our grade levels. It continues to be a rewarding period of growth, collaboration, and exploration in our music and academic programs.
Grade 7: Video Game Compositions Our Grade 7 students are making wonderful progress creating their own original compositions for a video game, exploring how music enhances interactive storytelling and digital media.
Grade 8: The Blues Scale In Grade 8, students are diving into music theory and practice by learning how to use the Blues scale to develop their improvisation and stylistic understanding.
Grade 9: Rock Song Performances & Context Grade 9 students are hard at work rehearsing and refining their performances of classic rock songs, deepening their appreciation by studying the historical and cultural contexts behind the music.
Grade 10: Adapting Songs to Jazz Our Grade 10 students are exploring sophisticated arrangement techniques as they learn how to adapt familiar songs into distinct jazz styles.
Looking Ahead As we continue through the term, we look forward to great things to come for the rest of the year.
