Dear KG2 Families,
We are happy to share a little update about our learning this week.
In Mathematics, we continued learning about height and used words such as taller than and shorter than to describe objects. We also practised writing numbers 4 and 5 using our number rhymes:
“Over and down and over some more, that’s how I write number 4!”
“One down, a fat belly, and a hat at the top – hey Mr 5!”
In Phonics, we introduced the letter “T t.” The children enjoyed listening to the story and singing the letter T song. They also had fun using scissors to cut, which gave them a great chance to practise their fine motor skills.
During our Unit of Inquiry, the children continued learning about the human body. They learned to name and point to different parts inside our bodies, including the brain, heart, stomach, lungs and bones. They also showed their understanding by drawing and colouring the parts they had learned about.
The children had a fun chance to find their heartbeat too! They felt their heartbeat when they were relaxed and then checked again after some exercise. It was exciting for them to notice that their heartbeat changed after moving their bodies.
Last but not least, feel free to click on the link to enjoy some photos from our week and see the children learning and having fun together.
We wish you all a happy and restful weekend! 💛
Warm regards,
Ms.Al Jabri & Ms.Maryam
