Dear KG2 Families,
We are happy to share about our learning this week in Week 4. The children have been busy exploring, talking, and learning together.
Mathematics:
We are continuing to explore the concepts of tall and short, and this week we moved on to comparing different heights. The children enjoyed describing what they noticed using words such as taller than and shorter than. For example, “The giraffe is taller than the horse.” They also worked on number recognition, matching numerals to the correct quantity.
Phonics:
The children have been learning about the letter A a, recognising both the uppercase and lowercase forms. They also enjoyed an apple activity where they chose their favourite apple colour — red, green, or yellow — and tore small pieces of paper to fill in their apple outlines. This was a fun way to practise their fine motor skills through tearing and gluing.
UOI – Who We Are:
The children shared their ideas about how their bodies grow and change. They talked about things they can do now and things they could not do when they were younger, sharing their thoughts and experiences with their friends.
We won’t keep you any longer!
Gentle reminder:
Thank you to all the families who have already shared their family photo with us. We are looking forward to receiving a family photo from those who have not yet sent one. We would love to display the photos in our classroom so the children can see and talk about their families as part of our Who We Are learning.
Thank you for your continued support!
Warm regards,
Ms.Khadija & Ms.Maryam
