Thank you to all of you who were able to make it out to Meet the Teacher evening on Tuesday, it was lovely meeting you and putting some names to faces. As mentioned if you have any questions about your child’s learning and well being at school, please feel free to reach out to us via Seesaw or email.

This week the students have been busy diving into our first partial unit of inquiry. The students have been reflecting on who they are as learners, how they learn best, identifying their strengths and an area of growth. They were also introduced to the concept of ‘influence’ where given clues, they had to decipher if the person was having a positive or negative influence.

In Literacy this week, students have been focusing on the ‘Fantastic Four’ (nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs). They have had some practice with identifying them as well as applying this knowledge to writing good sentences. Students have also been working on creating a Happiness poem as they learn about the different stages of the writing process. Check out Seesaw, to see a snapshot of your child’s learning in literacy from this week.

In Maths, we are slowly beginning to unpack place value and different ways of representing numbers. More to build on this next week.
