Dear Parents,
Happy Thursday! I hope you have all had a wonderful week.
Thank you so much to everyone who attended our Parent Information Evening! It was fantastic meeting you all, sharing our plans for the year, and answering your questions.
Here is a look back at what we worked on in class as we continued settling into our routines:
What We Did This Week
-
Math: Practiced number recognition, writing, and counting forward to 20.
-
Phonics & Handwriting: Reviewed the sounds /s/, /a/, /t/, and /i/.
-
Social-Emotional: Explored the Zones of Regulation, focusing on what makes us feel happy or sad.
-
Community: Played games and shared stories to learn more about ourselves, plus practiced our school fire drill!
-
Swimming: We enjoyed our first swimming lesson!
Important Reminders
-
Swimming (Mondays, 11:40–12:20): Children should wear regular clothes to school. Please pack their swimsuit and full swim kit (towel, swim cap, goggles, flip-flops, and wet bag) in a separate bag. Please ensure all items are clearly labeled!
-
Library (Tuesdays, 9:20–10:00): Please send a large bag so your child can bring their library books home safely.
-
Classroom Supplies: Please send a labeled reusable water bottle and a set of headphones for class use (ones with plug-in cords).
-
Snacks & Lunch: Kindly pack snacks and lunches in separate labeled bags, and remind your child to save their lunch for lunchtime.
Thank you for your ongoing support! Have a relaxing weekend ahead.
Warmly,
Ms. Flora
