Dear Robloxian families,

What a wonderful week of celebration and memories!

The students have completed their letters to their friends and took time to reflect on their Grade 2 journey while looking ahead with excitement to Grade 3. I am incredibly proud of each and every one of them and all they have achieved this year.

As seen on Seesaw, the students also completed a procedural writing activity where they learned and followed the steps for making s’mores. While we did not have a campfire, the Omani sun certainly helped us melt our chocolate! It was a fun and delicious way to bring our learning to life.

We also enjoyed some wonderful creative learning experiences. The students explored the work of artist Yaacov Agam and created their own agamographs, discovering how art can change depending on the viewer’s perspective. As part of our Light and Sound unit, we learned about tone and pitch and had lots of fun experimenting with our voices. The classroom was filled with laughter as students practised saying “Hello!” and “I forgot my homework!” using different tones to express different emotions and meanings.

One of the highlights of the week was decorating and signing each other’s Grade 2 memory t-shirts. Students enjoyed writing kind messages, drawing pictures, and sharing special memories with their classmates. It was a beautiful way to celebrate the friendships and connections they have built throughout the year.

Our end-of-year celebrations were a huge success. The pool party was filled with laughter, games, and wonderful memories. We also enjoyed creating our own magnets and sharing what was undoubtedly one of the biggest feasts in ABIS! There was so much food that we were still enjoying leftovers the following day. Thank you to all the families for your generosity and support.

Please take some time to browse through the weekly photos and save these special memories with your children.

Thank you for your partnership, kindness, and support throughout the year. It has been a privilege to teach your wonderful children. I wish you all a restful, happy, and safe summer holiday. Enjoy every moment, and come back refreshed and ready for the adventures of Grade 3!

Warm regards,

Ms. Cami
