Dear Parents,

It has been a busy week in French, with assessments taking place across several year groups, alongside preparations for the Summer Concert. There has been plenty happening both inside and outside the classroom, and students have continued to show resilience, focus, and enthusiasm as we approach the end of the school year.

But the “cerise sur le gâteau” has to be our upcoming Grade 7 Multilingual Celebration, taking place this Sunday. This special event will bring together everything we have explored throughout our unit and, in many ways, throughout the year itself.

Our Invitations

Our students have spent months developing not only their French, but also their understanding of identity, culture, communication, and the richness that comes from speaking different languages. Sunday will be an opportunity to celebrate all of that learning, while recognising the many languages, stories, and backgrounds that make our community so special.

There is something quite fitting about ending the year this way. Language learning is ultimately about connection, and what better way to close the year than by coming together to share, celebrate, and learn from one another.

À dimanche pour faire la fête!
