Grade 10 Visual Arts
This week, Grade 10 students continued working on Criterion C of their cultural bas-relief tile sculpture project. Students refined their designs and applied sculpting techniques to create relief tiles inspired by their cultural backgrounds, traditions, and personal identities. The focus was on craftsmanship, composition, and effectively communicating cultural meaning through visual symbols and imagery.
Grade 8 Design
Grade 8 students worked on the final strand of Unit 3, National Park Model. As they completed their models, students evaluated the impact of their products on the intended audience. They reflected on how effectively their designs communicated information about the chosen national park and considered how their models could influence visitors’ understanding and appreciation of natural environments.
Grade 7 Design
Grade 7 students focused on completing Criterion C of their educational toy project. They finalized their toy models and demonstrated how their designs address the needs of their target users. Students applied their design skills to create functional and engaging prototypes while considering usability, safety, and educational value.
