Dear KG2 Families,

As always, we are happy to share our learning from this week.

In our Unit of Inquiry “Sharing the Planet,” we had a discussion about how we can take care of our planet and what the children can do to look after the seeds they planted. It was lovely to hear their ideas and thoughts about their plants. By the end of the discussion, the children decided that when their plants grow bigger, they would like to plant them in a larger space or give them to the school gardener to plant in the school garden. We will continue supporting the children to make this happen.

The children also worked on a plant life cycle cut-and-paste activity, where they showed their understanding that plants grow from seed → roots → stem → leaves → flower.

In Phonics, we introduced the letter Vv, focusing on the letter name and sound. The children enjoyed listening to the story and song for the letter. They also created a letter collage, which helped develop their thinking and fine motor skills.

Warm regards,
Ms. AlJabri & Ms. Maryam
