Dear Secondary Families,
I have been very impressed with the way our Secondary students have adapted to the Ramadan timetable. For many of our students who are fasting, balancing their energy levels while continuing to focus on their studies requires real discipline. At the same time, our International students have been learning to adjust to a different daily rhythm and new expectations during this month. It has been encouraging to see students supporting one another, staying organised and continuing to approach their learning with maturity. Moments like this highlight many of the qualities we value in an IB education, responsibility, respect and the ability to adapt to new situations.
This week we were pleased to host our Community Iftar at ABIS. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring families, students and staff together during the holy month of Ramadan. Thank you to all the parents and families who joined us and helped create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Events like this are an important reminder that our school is more than just classrooms and lessons. They allow us to come together as a community, share traditions and strengthen the relationships that make ABIS such a special place. It was lovely to see so many members of our community enjoying the evening together, and we are grateful to everyone who helped make the event such a positive occasion.
