Dear Parents,
In Math, we continue to practice addition and subtraction facts up to 20 every day. The students are becoming faster and more confident. We are also learning to recognize and name 2D shapes such as circles, squares, rectangles, and triangles, as well as 3D shapes such as cubes, spheres, cylinders, and cones. We also look at where we can find these shapes in everyday life.
We are also working hard on improving our reading skills. The children are practicing reading blends in longer words, which helps them read more smoothly and with confidence. Every morning during Guided Reading, it is a joy to see their excitement for reading grow. Thank you for your support at home. Together, we make reading fun and meaningful.
We wish you all a lovely long weekend.
Ms. Guinee
