This week we continued exploring the world of shapes. We are deepening our understanding of 2D and 3D shapes while enthusiastically building our own 2D Shape City. In our unit, we also investigated who the helpers in our community are and why they are important.
In math, we practiced subtraction within 20. Each day begins with our reading stations, where we do guided reading and continue working on recognizing tricky words. In spelling, the focus this week was on the sounds or, ar, ur, er, and ir.
We are proud of how hard the children are working and how much they are learning.
