Dear Robloxian Parents,

This week has been full of meaningful learning, joyful experiences, and wonderful moments of curiosity and discovery for our Robloxians.

In Literacy, we explored the -ed and -ing suffixes, focusing on how words change to show past and present tense. Students engaged in fun, interactive games that helped them practise identifying and using these suffixes in context. Learning through play allowed them to build confidence while deepening their understanding in an enjoyable way.

Yesterday, we also had the opportunity to visit the Grade 6 Exhibition, and it was truly inspiring. Our students were very impressed by the depth of the inquiries and showed great confidence and curiosity by asking many thoughtful questions. It was wonderful to see them engage so meaningfully with the learning and admire the hard work of the Grade 6 students; what fantastic and interactive work! 🌟

On Sunday, we had a very special day out on our Fruit and Vegetable Market field trip. Students reflected on their experiences through a guided reflection activity (you can see more on Seesaw), where they shared their thoughts, feelings, and observations. In the afternoon, they worked collaboratively to make fruit salad using the items they had purchased. The students were wonderfully innovative, some salads even included cucumbers and tomatoes!

Throughout the week, students also spent time practising their upcoming performances. They are becoming more confident and expressive as they rehearse, and it has been lovely to see their excitement growing. Please keep an eye out, we cannot wait to invite you into our learning space very soon so you can be part of celebrating their hard work and creativity.

One of the highlights of the week was our time at the beach and the park today. The students made many discoveries through play and exploration, which led to a powerful provocation for our next Unit of Inquiry on Habitats. While collecting shells, students noticed that some were homes to hermit crabs, sparking thoughtful discussions about living things, shelters, and responsibility towards nature. Their curiosity and care (ensuring the creatures went back to their habitatds )were truly wonderful to witness.

In Maths, we continued working on arrays, deepening students’ understanding of how numbers can be organised into equal groups. Students enjoyed identifying arrays in the world around them, such as chocolate bars, windows, and tiles, helping them make meaningful real-world connections to their learning.

A reminder that our spelling ‘test’ will be next Sunday. Please continue encouraging your child to practise their spelling words at home and, where possible, write short sentences using each word. This extra practice makes a big difference and supports deeper understanding.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. It has been a joyful and engaging week, and we are so proud of the enthusiasm and curiosity the students bring to their learning every day.

Please enjoy some snapshots of this week here
